About Bhartiya School of
Public Health
Advancing population health, research rigor, and community well-being through professional postgraduate public health education in Uttarakhand.
Rooted in Higher Learning, Committed to Population Well-being.
Bhartiya School of Public Health was founded as a dedicated unit of Bhartiya Mahavidyalaya (established in 2015) to address the pressing demand for skilled, analytical public health leaders in India.
While clinical healthcare focuses on curative treatment for individuals, the modern era has demonstrated that safeguarding societal well-being requires systemic, population-level strategies. From pandemic preparedness and infectious disease tracking to maternal child nutrition, environmental toxins, and non-communicable disease prevention, public health forms the bedrock of national resilience.
Our Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is affiliated to Shri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri Garhwal, an established UGC-approved state government university. The program combines conceptual epidemiology, health economics, and health policy with practical field immersion across the varied terrain of Uttarakhand.

Why Study Public Health in Roorkee?
Uttarakhand offers a singularly diverse public health learning environment. Within short distances from our Roorkee campus, students can study healthcare dynamics across densely populated agricultural plains, industrial belts (Haridwar-SIIDCUL), religious pilgrimage hubs with unique mass-gathering epidemiology (Kumbh/Char Dham), and fragile Himalayan hill communities facing unique healthcare access challenges.
