The Master of Public Health is a multidisciplinary postgraduate program welcoming candidates from medical, life sciences, healthcare, and social science backgrounds.
Undergraduate Degree
Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor's degree from a UGC-recognized university or institution approved by statutory bodies.
Qualifying Marks
Standard postgraduate eligibility applies (typically minimum 50% aggregate marks in graduation, subject to university relaxations for reserved categories).
Final Year Applicants
Students appearing in their final year/semester undergraduate examinations are eligible to apply provisionally.
Eligible Undergraduate Disciplines
Public health welcomes diverse academic backgrounds. The following degrees are generally considered eligible for MPH postgraduate admission:
Medical & Dental Graduates
Graduates from recognized medical and dental institutions registered with respective state councils or NMC/DCI.
AYUSH Practitioners
Graduates in Indian systems of medicine from recognized universities or state medical boards.
Nursing & Allied Health
Graduates with recognized nursing or paramedical bachelor's degrees and clinical/field familiarity.
Pharmacy & Life Sciences
Graduates holding three- or four-year bachelor's degrees in biological or pharmaceutical sciences.
Social Sciences & Humanities
Graduates with demonstrated interest in community development, social determinants of health, and welfare.
Management & Other Disciplines
Graduates interested in hospital administration, health informatics, public policy, or nutrition interventions.
