Why Study the Master of Public Health?
Global and national health systems increasingly recognize that clinical interventions alone cannot solve population health crises. Epidemics, antibiotic resistance, malnutrition, cardiovascular diseases, climate-induced health emergencies, and health inequities demand professionals trained in systemic epidemiology, health economics, surveillance, and health policy.
The Master of Public Health (MPH) at Bhartiya School of Public Health is structured to develop independent, analytical thinkers who can design, implement, and evaluate health programs. Our students learn to interpret population-scale datasets, translate health research into policy action, and lead health initiatives with ethical integrity.
Core Competencies Developed
Quantitative & Analytical Methods
Master biostatistics, epidemiologic study design, survey sampling, disease frequency indices, and analytical health software to evaluate community health trends.
Health Systems & Policy Design
Examine healthcare delivery structures in India, the National Health Mission (NHM), primary health systems, healthcare financing mechanisms, and policy formulation.
Community Health & Field Immersion
Engage with grassroots community realities, participatory vulnerability assessments, and maternal-child health interventions across varied geographic settings.
Project Management & M&E
Develop practical capabilities in project log-frames, indicator selection, monitoring & evaluation (M&E) frameworks, and health program budget management.
